negative cell volume error in fluent

Hello everyone,
I'm new to dynamic calculation in CFD and for a school project I need to simulate the flow around a Savonius wind turbine using Fluent. In order to do so, I initialise the simulation with a steady flow and then use a UDF function in a transient flow but then, when I launch the simulation I get this error message 'Update-Dynamic-Mesh Failed. Negative cell volume detected'. I already tried to reduce the time step size and checked the mesh and the UDF file for any flaws but nothing. Does anyone have an idea to solve this issue ? Hi,
First do mesh/check . It should detect negative volume cell. Then try to fix that problem with /mesh/repair-improve repair or try many other options from repair menu. If problem still exists, then you have to improve mesh in mesher only. Regards Quote:
