Hi everyone,
I am modeling melting of a pure metal, so i enabled the solidification/melting option in fluent. But the problem with this is that you can specify only one value for Cp, i mean Cp is same for both solid and liquid. But in my case Cp values are different for both solid and liquid. So i thought of modeling the value of Cp by knowing the liquid fraction variation from the fluent (as i dont know the variation of Cp with temperature), but the problem is that fluent macro, DEFINE_SPECIFIC_HEAT has its arguments as T, Tref, *h. So, if i want to model using this macro, i need to have analytical formula for Cp in terms of temperature(which i dont), or atleast some analytical formula for liquid fraction in terms of temperature (which again i dont) so that i could write Cp in terms of liquid fraction. So is there any way to deal with this?

Thanks

Write a UDF, see the FLUENT UDF guide for more details
