I used UDF and overset meshes to define a cylindrical sailing body moving at high speed in water (about 100 m/s), taking into account the cavitation effect from the high speed movement. I used the S-S cavitation model to calculate the uncompressible flow, using transient calculations with a mean value of 10 for the value of wall Y+ and used a time step of 1e-7 s. I tried to show the true pressure inside the cavity using the tui command: Display clipped pressure in the post-processing [yes]no but the calculations showed a negative pressure. A real pressure less than 0 should not be generated in a real physical field, so how does this situation occur? Any thoughts on how to solve this? I've been puzzling over this for a while, so any insights you could share would be much appreciated. Hou |
