Hi,
I am working on shell with 7 tubes heat exchanger in such a way that the Ammonia condensation is happening in Shell domain and tube has single phase water flowing in it.
I have chosen Multiphase > VOF > Implicit > sharp > 3 number of phases.

Primary phase = Ammonia liquid
Secondary phase = Ammonia Vapor
Secondary Phase 2 = Water liquid

I haven't used any UDF for simulation and Condensation temperature is 35C together with 0.1/s, 1/s and 50/s Lee's frequency.

I have also done patching before running calculation.

The two issues I am facing is:

1- Primary phase = NH3 liquid jumps between shell or tube because Liquid is not restricted to any domain due to acting as a primary phase.

2- At shell outlet, surface integer > mass weighted average > volume fraction > ammonia liquid = 0.878; ammonia vapor = 0.999.

I don't understand why the volume fraction is of Vapor + Liquid = 0.878 + 0.999 = 1.878 but the volume fraction should not be greater than 1.
Why?

can anyone help me in these.

Thanks.
