Hi everyone, so i'm new to multiphase and VOF and this is the first problem i'm trying to tackle.

I'm basically trying to setup the case as in the video and I've also used the same exact dimensions and mesh size. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8yuokXHObE) But unlike in the video I've created the geometries seperated and meshed. I loaded the bg mesh first and then appended the component mesh and created the overset interface.

The residuals always diverge and fluent returns with the error
Update Dynamic Mesh Failed:Negative cell volume detected. N cells with non-poisitve volume detected.

I have also changed overset verbosity settings and the report shows N number of oprhan cells in interface overset-intf.
Ive tried decreasing the time step as well but all it does is delay the divergence and again solution diverges when the overset bound ary hits the interface.
I've also used laminar and k epsilon model

What I've noticed is that the liquid interface starts behaving abnormaly as soon as the overset boundary of the component(ball) touches the interface.

Other errors that i get are:
6DOF angular solver has not converged
Turbulent viscosity limied in N cells
