Bubble plume oscillation

Hi,
I am trying to simulate a bubble column. However, I am arriving at a static solution instead of one where the bubble plume oscillates. Based on this post: Karman vortex street I suspect that the reason that the oscillations don't start is that my geometry and grid are symmetric. However, as suggested in the post I tried to trigger an instability to get the oscillation going. However, I wasn't successful. Do you have any suggestions on how I could go about this? |
