Dear Friends,
I am using Fluent to model Heat transfer in a fluidized bed without reaction. I have enabled the energy equation under the MODELS tab, used Gidaspow drag model, and enabled the partial diff equation in the granular phase tab for using the Jonson Jakson wall BC. I have given the initial temperatures of the solid 353 and gas 313 K respectively in the SOLUTION INITIALIZATION tab. The operating temperature of the reactor has been set to 288.15K under the OPERATING tab and after initializing patch volume fraction 0.52 and solid temperature 353 k. However, after some time 4-sec floating point error came and bed expansion up to bed height during running the simulation. I also failed to get a plot of the temperature gradient in the fluidized bed, i.e. temperature versus bed height. Where have I gone wrong? Waiting to hear from your suggestions. |

Dear friends,
Does it affect the operating temperature in this case? In the BC, the operating temperature is 288.15 during initialization from the inlet Inlet gas temperature is coming to 313 K and I applied a solid temperature of 353 K which came to 300 K after the initialization patch the solid temperature of 353 K but solid and gas temperatures are not getting along the axial height. what am I doing wrong, please help me. |
