Hello everyone,
I'm simulating steam injected horizontally through a nozzle into a water bath. My problem that I have is that the energy residuals start to increase and go up to more than 10e+25. Why could it be that I am having this problem? My model conditions are as follows: -Solver Pressure-Based -Steady State simulation -Gravity in the direction -y -Eulerian Multiphase Model, Implicit Formulation -two phases (water-liquid and water-vapor like ideal gas) -Drag Coefficient (symmetric) -Heat Transfer Coefficient (two-resitance, hughmark for liq and zero-resistance for vap) -Mass Transfer Mechanism (evaporation-condensation with Thermal Phase Change Model) -Interfacial Area (ia-particle) -k-epsilon Realizable -Saturation Temperature = 416.76K -Saturation Pressure = 0.4 MPa Boundary Conditions: -Pressure-Inlet Gaude Total Pressure (0.4 MPa) Supersonic/Initial Gauge Pressure (0.399 MPa) Volume Fraction Vapor = 1 -Pressure Outlet Gauge Pressure (10200 Pa) Backflow Volume Fraction Vapor = 0 Temperature (300 K) All others boundary are trated like wall Solution Methods: -Pressure-Velocity Coupling Scheme = Phase Coupled SIMPLE -Spatial Discretization is First Order Upwinde, xcept for Pressure which is Second Order and Gradient which is Least Squares Cell Based If anyone can help me I would be very grateful. Thanks!! |
