Hello all,
I am modeling gas-liquid mass transfer in Fluent. I am creating 2 mixture templates: gas-phase: O2(gas)-air Liquid-phase: O2(gas or liquid?)-water O2 is resolved into water 1-My question is, should I use liquid O2 in the liquid phase or O2 component in the liquid must be the same as the one in the gas phase? (I tried both-still it does not work) 2- Do I need to solve the energy equation for this problem? (in case temperature is constant) Does anyone have any experience with that? Thanks, |

Hello everyone,
I am modeling the mass transfer of oxygen in the water in a mixing tank. I am using the species mass transfer model with Henry's law equilibrium and also use a UDF for mass transfer based on Higbie's theory: m_lg = ((0.4)*pow(D_O2,0.5)*pow(C_D(c,thread)*C_R(c,liq)/C_MU_EFF(c,liq), 0.25)); -The problem is the amount of dissolved oxygen exceeds the saturation concentration of Oxygen at 25 C. Does anyone have any idea where I might have made a mistake here? Thanks, |
