Hello,
I need help with my project. I want to simulate the doctor blading process in 3D. In the project, there is a force F on the doctor blade that causes the doctor blade to move. The doctor blade then brings the fluid into the cavity and stops after it passes through the cavity. I have an already finished 2D simulation, but there the doctor blade was set as a moving wall and its motion profile was entered with "dynamic mesh", with no force applied to the doctor blade. Also, for numerical reasons, which I would like to know, the doctor blading process was modeled with a gap d between the doctor blade and the substrate. The gap must be at least the size of two cells, otherwise the moving doctor blade will cause problems with remeshing. - I would like to know if I can enter the force F acting on the doctor blade into Ansys fluent. - Also, I would like the gap between the doctor blade and the substrate to become d=0. - The material of the doctor blade should also be entered into the simulation. I would be grateful if someone could tell me if and how I can solve these problems. |
