Hello,
I have a question about patching selected cells during a simulation. I am doing a transient two-phase flow through a nozzle (VOF, ReStress) and during the simulation the pressure slowly creeps up to a very high and unrealistic values in only specific cells at few very sharp edges. Because of that at some point (well into the simulation) the solution diverges. I was thinking to go and manually mark the cells where those high pressure values are and patch them with the max pressure at the inlet (68atm) so I can continue with the simulation. My question is how to make this patching process automatic. In other words, every several time steps Fluent to check if pressure is exceeding a specific values and if it does, to bring those values back to the maximum. This way I would force the pressure not to exceed the specified maximum and prevent the solution from diverging. I know that fixing the mesh would be the ultimate solution but lets say I can not fix the mesh. How can I do the above? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot. |
