In simulation of the adiabatic bubble growth in ANSYS Fluent, I need to calculate interface area in each cell (the green line in the picture).
In my search, I found three ways:
  • Using this:
    Code:
    pow(C_VOF_G(cell, thread)[0] * C_VOF_G(cell, thread)[0] + C_VOF_G(cell, thread)[1] * C_VOF_G(cell, thread)[1],0.5) * C_VOLUME(cell, thread)
    I checked this method in 1D Stefan problem, but the result wasn't correct.
  • Using this:

    2.0 * pow(C_VOF_G(cell, thread)[0] * C_VOF_G(cell, thread)[0] + C_VOF_G(cell, thread)[1] * C_VOF_G(cell, thread)[1],0.5) * C_VOF(cell, thread)
    I also checked this method in 1D Stefan problem, but the result wasn't correct.
  • Using this:

    C_VOF_S(cell, thread)
    I also checked this method, but fluent received an error.

Can anybody help me with this problem, either how to implement the above methods to get the right answer or other methods?
