Hi,
I hope every one is doing well! I am modelling a conical spouted bed reactor using Ansys fluent. I have made a conical fluidized bed and would like to add a region of granular bed in the bottom conical section. I tried to do it in the adapt section by defining a region, but in 2D, it only shows quad, circle and cylinder. How do I patch a bed in in a conical fluidized bed reactor using Ansys Fluent. I would appreciate for your valuable help. Thank you so much. Kind Regards |

The region patched will still be conical. The regions available for marking, such as, quad, circle, cylinder, etc. are regions used to encompass the mesh. So, you just need to ensure that all the cells where you want granular phase to be present is covered by the region you choose for marking. It is akin to using mouse and dragging over a region; the dragged region is always a quadrilateral, but the selected region depends on the shape that is being selected.
