Hi all,
I'm simulating transient two-phase flow (liquid-vapor) in a cylinder-shape separator. This is a try-run with Eulerian-eulerian model + Multi-Fluid VOF model+ Implicit Fomulation+ Sharp type interface modeling because I'm trying to get both the flow path of droplets and the separation of two phases. Also, for the viscous model, I used realizable k-e +standard wall functions and calculate the turbulence per phase. (I know it's a lot of calculation...) The thing is: when I use the adaptive time step and set the global courant number= 400 (The default setting is 800). It seems I have a really small time step (1e-5 s) while the residuals are all small (1e-10 to 1e-4). Is this normal? Can I further increase the global courant number? Thank you in advance!
