HI

I want to analyse a cyclone consisting of air+sand . I want to achieve 4 way coupling.
1.I have used DDPM and granular flow model since the volume fraction is greater than 10%.CAN WE USE THIs APPROACH FOR 4 WAY COUPLING?

2.In my case I have an outlet at the bottom and top,I want to literally know how many particles are trapped at the bottom and in the cyclone ,How many are escaped from the top outlet ,so that I can calculate my collection efficiency.

pls give me some insights in order to perform this analysis

WOULD BE GRATEFUL IF ANY KIND OF HELP IS OFFERED

vinerm will become famous soon enough
You can sample the particles at the top and bottom outlets. This is available under Reports > Discrete Phase > Sample. This will write text files with extension .dpm. The same files can be read back into Fluent using Reports > Discrete Phase > Histogram and you can plot the velocities, numbers, diameters, locations, etc. for the particles at top and bottom.

PM to be used if and only if you do not want something to be shared publicly. PM is considered to be of the least priority.
