I am doing unsteady DPM modeling releasing many particles in the domain and I need the position and velocities of each particle at each time step tp be written to a text file so I can analyze it using Matlab. current position reporting provide such file only for the last time step but I need file reporting positions and velocities for each time step. can anybody help me??

Enabled Discrete Phase Sampling under Reports. This needs to be done before you start the simulation and then needs to be stopped once the simulation is done.

I guess this method only reports particle hting specific surfaces not all particles in the domain. am I right?

Yes, this depends on the particles hitting the surface you select for sampling. User can also select interiors and then will get information about most of the particles but still not all. If you want information about all, then sampling is not the option to go. Then you export particle tracks.
