Hi,

I am looking for a way to display depth-averaged quantities such as depth-averaged velocity in a VOF model conducted in Fluent.
I found a thread under the EnSight forum to do it, but I'd like to use Ansys CFD-POST.

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Define a formula for depth-averaged velocity
Name it some new variable
calculate it

Thanks rupak504,

To define a formula, I'll need to average or integrate in only the vertical direction. Is there a function to do so?
I found that in EnSight the function radiograph_mesh does this but what's the corresponding function in CFD-POST? I don't want to use EnSight.

Thanks

Define a vertical line in your domain.
Integrate the variable along that line.

Yes, but I am looking for a 2D map of depth-averaged velocity in the entire domain. It won't be practical to define vertical lines in the entire domain.
I am thinking a function that integrates in the vertical along all mesh nodes or faces. As I said Radiograph_mesh in EnSight does this. But I'm looking for a similar function in Ansys Post.
