I have to analyze the effect of sea waves (short gravity waves on FLUENT) on a submerged float using a CFD-3D simulation. I tried different settings but the result is that there is a reversed flow and the turblent viscosity ratio is too hight. Can someone help me?
In FLUENT I set: General --> Transient, gravity Models --> Multiphase (VOF with open channel flow and open channel wave BC), viscous (k-w SST) Materials --> air, water (compressible, liquid) Boundary conditions: -inlet (velocity inlet (1.5 m/s), open channel wave BC (short gravity waves, wave height= 1.5 m, wave lenght= 3 m)) - sky (pressure outlet) - exit (pressure outlet, open channel flow) Cell zone conditions: numerical beach Methods: pressure velocity Coupling SIMPLEC, Gradient Green-Gauss cell based, pressure PRESTO!, Momentum Secord order upwind, Volume fraction compressive, all the rest second order upwind. |
