Modifying Eulerian Multiphase Model for Wind-Driven Rain Simulations

Hi,
I'm currently trying to solve the following equations for wind-driven rain simulations. In these simulations, we first solve the steady-state flow field for the wind, then we solve the rain as a secondary phase. The equations to be solved for each rain (secondary phase) are in the attached picture, along with the typical Fluent momentum equation. As can be seen, the secondary phase I want to solve for does not include the pressure and stress-strain tensor terms. The rest of the equation is analogous, and I can define a UDF for the interphase exchange coefficient. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can point me towards a proper way to implement the equations with the Fluent Multiphase Model. I tried emailing Fluent support but their only response was "So my suggestion would be to accept that this work was performed using Eulerian model in Fluent but develop a better understanding before implementing it." Thank you very much for all help! SecondaryPhaseEqn.JPG Fluent_MomentumEqn.JPG |
