Hi,
I've been trying to add three phase zones on my 2D geometry.JPG (WHERE THE RED ZONE IS AIR AND BLUE IS WATER. I WOULD WANT TO ADD A 4 LITER VOLUME AIR ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PIPE) geometry, that is a pipe of 10 meters long and with 15 cm diameter also, on the top of the geometry there is a box looking with a 5 meter height and 50 cm diameter. the pipe will be full of water except for the bottom that will contain 4 liters of air and on the top of the pipe will contain another air zone. if any one can guide me step by step i will appreciate it.
Best regards,
Ebu

I don't know if you actually want to separate zones just to define the phases.

An easy option would be:
Adapt>Mark/Adapt cells>Region.
Select a region, and you could use this region to define any phase.
Note: Do this after you have initialized.

However, if you want to create zones, in the marked region above:
Zone>Separate>cells
And select the region you just marked to create separate zone.

Tip: Do a basic VOF tutorial of FLuent...it explains this basic stuff. S
