Hello, I have a problem using the DDPM model coupled with eulerian model.
I'm working in the simulation of a hydrocyclone, where I have 3 phases, phase1: water (eulerian model), phase2: air (eulerian model), phase3: antracite (DDPM). I'm working with Dense Discrete Phase Model (DDPM) for the antracite. Time Step: 1e-4 Iteraciones/Time Step: 35 Inicialization: I patch the interior of hydrocyclone with air, then I start the inlet of water, past 1 second I start the inlet of antracite. The antracite inlet is with a Rosin-Rammler distribution where Vel inlet: 6,45 m/s mass flow rate: 1 kg/s Max diameter: 0,00021 m Min diameter: 0,00001 m Mean diameter: 0,000035 m spread number: 1,057 Number of diameters: 7 The mesh have 250.000 elements. The max skew quality is 0,5. I thing maybe the Parcel Diameter is too high i/r with the cell size. I adjunt my case. I need help because this proyect is my tesis , and i have this problem for 4 months. The case is in this link : https://mega.nz/#!eYB30bAZ!RiypP8Vn_...CTmPyK2AqmFRQ8 For any reason, I can't attach the file at the post. Thank You |

don't track particles with fluid flow timestep and reduce particle timestep size
also you may try to refine your mesh |

What's your average cell size? What's the smallest cell size?
