Hello,I have some problems about" Fluid Dynamics Verification Manual" VMFL067 Boiling in a Pipe-Critical Heat Flux, the problem described as follow Figures .I have just simulated the case base on the introduction, and all the conditions and models are consistent, the inlet temperature is 555k. but I can not get the same result.I used the Boiling model-critical heat flux, turbenlent model:RNG k-e.The calculated wall temperature distribution show as follow figure.Have someone ever done this case? Beg for your help! Thank you!

Get the case file from Ansys's home page and check the settings in the model. There are a lot of settings you have to carefully select.

You can obtain it directly from Ansys support if you are a user of Ansys Fluent. Ask your local Fluent service to get a support services ID.

Hello for every one, I also trying to model a channel analysis in which the water enters subcooled and then a want to simulate the critical heat flux conditions. Before this simulation I solved the two phase boiling problem which has about 0.6 outlet void fraction. For water and vapor phases I entered the material properties by hand.
I want to ask, do I need to follow same methodology for material property manupulation in CHF simulation. If yes, how? Also, the e-mailed files may help me, would you please send they to me? e-mail: osman.bilen@hotmail.com Last edited by osmbln; February 11, 2018 at 03:58. |
