I am making a simulation of an Heterogeneous Reaction using the VOF model for the multiphase.
The reaction is similar to this: a*A(L) ---> b*B(g) + c*C(L) , this means that the liquid reactive produce two products one in gas phase and the other in liquid phase. I have a doubt: if I'm only modeling an heterogeneous reaction in the species model panel (see fig above) Do I have to enable the volumetric box in Reaction option? I will appreciate any comment. Regards, Lorena |

Hi Lorena,
You need to turn on Volumetric under reaction in the species model box, then in create/Edit materials dialog box, select none from Reactions drop-down list. |

Hello Lorena,
For modeling any heterogeneous reaction, I guess, we have to enable the volumetric box in Reaction option so that the reaction taking place can be given as input in the drop down menu. Regards, Bhuvanesh. |
