Bubble rising with VOF

Hello

i just started CFD and currently simulating on Bubble rising with VOF

I applied VOF and laminar flow

Primary phase is liquid and Secondary is Gas

at the initialization stage, by using a patch the gas bubble is inserted in liquid

with transient solver i ran the simulation

What I expected is streamline should occur with avoiding bubble like pic3

however in my case, it penetrate bubble and overall shape looks like lid driven flow.

can you tell me a small tips for improvement?

hi,
can you me how can you say your flow is laminar, how did you calculate Reynold number and also as you can in pics your flow is dispersed so why didnt you go for mixture or eulerian multiphase models???
