Hello friends,
I am trying to simulate a multiphase model consisting of air as continuous phase and dust as discrete phase. This air-dust mixture is carried in a cylindrical duct and needs to be extracted by another duct of larger cross sectional area. Their is gap between the two ducts and air flows in it so i have constructed a cylindrical setup and named it as atmosphere which is open condition. I need to know at the end of simulation how much % of air-dust mixture is extracted and how much has been leaked into the atmosphere. I have velocity inlet and pressure outlet boundary conditions for the ducts but i don't know what to give for the atmosphere as it is a different material (air). It would be very helpful if somebody could help me up with setting up the boundary condition for atmosphere. Thanks |

Hi,
It would be helpful if you can attach an image of your intended control volume. It is difficult to visualize with the information provided. -BB |
