leo2012 is on a distinguished road
Am trying to obtain the velocity profiles of the two immiscible fluids flowing through a 2D flat plate (height is 300 micrometer and width is 2 mm). The simulation condition - pressure based solver, Eulerian, transient, Realizable k- ε Model. Time step is 1e-6, no of iteration per time step is 20. I started the simulation with first order upwind and switched over to higher order schemes. The simulation was running fine until the flow time of 0.18 seconds then Courant number exceeds more than 250. Also the phases were well separated for half of the length of the channel but after that there are regions were the phase 1 is in the region of phase 2 near the walls and vice versa. (as shown in attached figure). Thanks in advance.
