Hi, i am working with ANSYS 18 and i found some difference between ansys 18 and ansys 17.2 . I am working with stirred vessels in ansys 18 and when i use the box RESULT after using the FLUENT ,i can not plot the solid.volume.fraction when i create a PLANE as i did with ansys 17.2. does anybody know how to plot the solid volume fraction in RESULTS of ansys 18 ? thanks

Hey,
yes, actually it is not that complicated. You just have to autosave your data during your (transient?) simulation and there you have to choose "phase1/2.volumefraction" and whatever you want. (I saved it as "CFD-Postcompatible, ASCII") Then you can import the files into CFD-Post (as it is explained there for example: Can I load FLUENT time mean data into CFD-Post?) .. and finally you can display it :-) (maybe its not the simplest solution but it works ) |

CFD post V18 does not automatically read or import multiphase results from simulation. You will have to manually export multiphase results to CFD post using Export to CFD post option.
