i simulate multiphase flow in fluent and i work on DPM. there is a problem i have searched a lot for it in the net and i have tested every option in fluent but found nothing. if anyone has any information about this, i would appreciate to share it:
how can we visualize the trapped particles on any of the domain walls. my model includes a bend and particles get trapped on the bend and the straight pipe after the bend. i want to see where the particles are trapped. it is very important to me. i appreciate any answer. |

if it is in steady state you can just go to particle tracks in the visualization options and track the particles. if it is unsteady you can write a particle data file and read it in cfd post to display the tracks. see the tutorials in the fluent tutorial guide, this should be covered as it is fairly basic and used a lot.

actually i don't want the trajectories of particles. i only want to depict the trapped points of particles on the walls.

actually I have the same problem and I didn't find the answer. but I think this problem don't have steady state part which means you should run the problem without particle then write this and activate the particle track. but I don't know how too find the location of particles

If you guys want to visualize the particles actually stuck to the wall you might have to use the DEM
