hello are you going to use udf? or evaporation condensation lee model which is built in

Sir I have uploaded the udf posted in this page for 2 d heat pipe evaporation condensation. But the error comes that some step in udf is not define in the command window. Please suggest me what to do in this case. And kindly suggest me that How much watt (heat flux) should be added in the evaporation wall section for evaporation process and on the other hand what should be boundary condition for condenser wall so that vapor converts to the liquid.
Thanks

It takes some time and many trials for simulating the HP. My advice is to start with 2D simple case and then introduce complexity with time. You will need to simulate the boiling tutorial to get some experience about this kind of simulations.

For simulating the condensation, you will need to generate fine wall layers for catching the condensation droplets.

For simulating the Heat pipe you can use these useful tutorials:

hello
i have some doubts
(a) in mesh, what should be done with boundary in fluid region? is there any boundary condition in that region? if possible please upload mesh file.
(b) udf should used alone or with lee model.
i am not getting convergence in continuity. the residual is reaching to e-4 limit.

The UDF didn't work on Ansys 16 due to some bug in the program, so you should use ANSYS 15 or 17 instead.

If someone need help in the simulation, write your email and i will send some good resources.
Hi, Could you please send me details to qimao520521@gmail.com

Thank you

Sir,

I am trying to do CFD analysis of wickless heat pipe. But not able to fill perticular amount of fluid in heatpipe. What command I have to use to fill 10% of volume of water in the heat pipe using fluent? if possible can you share your contact no please..

Does your heat pipe simulation model have porous media?
