Dear all

I'm trying to simulating a case that's similar to yours but probably simpler than yours. Basically I have a channel that's pre-filled with fluid 1 (eg. glycerol solution) and then fluid 2, which is miscible with fluid 1 (eg. water) is injected into the channel. I'm trying to model the interfacial phenomena (instabilities, see attached experiment picture) during this process.

Any idea what's the best model for this? Was thinking using VoD but not sure it's the best one to do this job. Also when the mass transfer mechanisms in phase interactions is enabled. What value exactly should I put in here for the phases (fluid 1 and 2 mentioned above)? Should it be mass transfer coefficient or diffusion coefficient or?

Many thanks.
