Particle Residence Time is the amount of time a particle(s) spent in the domain/control volume.

Dear Sir,
I am working on multiphase flow simulation related to Blood Flow in artery. The inlet conditions of domain contains plasma with density=1003 kg/m3, viscosity=0.001 kg/ms as the primary phase (Carrier fluid) and a Red Blood Cells (RBC) is given as Particles (secondary phase) with diameter=8 microns, density=1096 kg/m3. The number of RBC particles considered as 1 to 3 millions. I want to study the behaviour of particles (RBC), particle transport and its deposition in artery for both steady and transient cases. for above mentioned problem, I am finding difficulties with model set up and boundary conditions in FLUENT software. hence I request you to share your experience and knowledge. please send me related tutorial/setup case file/links for tutorials or similar study thesis/reports/papers and guide me in this regard. Thanking you Abdulrajak |
