Hello!

Is there a way of calculating vapor quality or vapor mass fraction in Fluent or CFD post?
I am able to calculate vapor volume fraction but i can't see a way of computing the mass fraction.

Thank you!

Vapor mass fraction is found by bringing density into the equation:

Vapor Mass Fraction= \frac{ \rho _{vapor} * vol frac vapor}{\rho _{vapor} * vol frac vapor+\rho _{everything else} *(1- vol frac vapor)}

Of course, "rho everything else" is just a shortcut, as is the (1-vol frac vapor). You'll need to multiply every phase's density by its volume fraction, such that you have N terms in the denominator for an N-phase system.
