Hello everyone,
I will use this thread to post an issued that I am having. I am using the VOF to model a pool and a gas space, with a velocity-inlet boundary condition injecting water at the bottom of the tank. The rest of the boundaries are walls with no-slip. I am using a 2D axisymmetric model (with x-axis set as axis of rotation). Checking the Report>Fluxes>Mass flow rate>Net shows that I am injecting a correct amount of water through the velocity-inlet boundary condition. However, the liquid level in the pool increases at a much slower rate than what it should, based on the injection rate . What could be the reason for this? I have double checked the density of the fluids, pool dimensions, mass flow rate injected into the pool, and they seem to be correct. Thanks in advance! =) Ignacio |

You posted this on the CFX forum. This appears to be a Fluent question so I have moved it to a new thread on the Fluent multiphase forum. Please post on the correct forum in future.
