Hi everybody;
I am doing a 3D simulation gas/liquid of a reactor with gas and liquid inlets from the bottom through different entrances. I am using fluent 16.2 for the simulations and ICEM for the meshing. In order to simplify I am using only 1/4 of the geometry as the figure attached. My problem is: Should I use periodic boundary repeat or symetry as BC in the pink and green surfaces ?? I have already read a lot about it, but it seemed a bit confuse for me. According to some authors the flow is symetric, I am justo not sure about the symetry BC is the right one. |
