Hi all,

I am currently specifying let say (orifice injection at a location) of 0.001945 kg/s.

Ok I know that if my simulation is transient (eg timestep 1e-6 s) which mean that the injection at respective timestep is a fraction of the total mass flow rate per unit time(s).

One thing I am puzzled that how do I calculate if the dpm injection has balanced with breakup/separation/film stripping/atomization etc.

I mean in terms of continuum airflow, I can easily calculate the mass flow rate of inlet and outlet with very small mass flow imbalance of let say 1e-10 kg/s.

How do I do that with DPM. I know that if I got Eulerian Wall Film activated. If I monitor the sum of film mass, it should tends to same solution independent of time as it converge.

Is there a mechanisms to monitor the balance? Hope you all get what I mean.

Thanks

Jee
