Hi all,
I have been working on FSI 3D sloshing in a tank (water and air) , the tank is fully closed and filled with 60% of water. My aim is calculating the thickness of the water tank wall according to pressure of sloshing. The tank is rotated around one's own axis as 180 degree with "mesh motion" (under the tab of cell zone condition) over 1 second. The gravitational acceleration is opened also. I defined the 1 atm operationg pressure on the top of the tank. During calculation the water sloshing seems realistic. But the pressure distribution on the tank wall is confusing. Because the pressure values of around air phase are "negative". When I imported the pressure result in structural, the tank is expended with water pressure but it is compressed with air pressure. You think that makes sense? Please share your comment about that. |
