Why does the inlet boundary condition change?

Hi,
I am simulating an open channel flow and as inlet I impose a mass flow inlet, or velocity inlet, with depth 0.7 m and velocity 0.2 m/s, very slow. But after some time steps, the water depth at the inlet becomes smaller, from 0.7 m to 0.2 m more or less. Do you know why? The first obstacle is 6 m downstream the inlet, so very far away and the inlet should not be affected by this... Thank you Last edited by Ema40; October 9, 2015 at 17:28. Reason: missing something |
