HI, ALL!
I tried to couple the RPI wall boiling model with population balance model to model the bubble diameter distribution in subcooled boiling flow. At first, I just used the RPI wall boiling model and everything looked ok. However, when I loaded the population balance model and choose the Discrete method. The “boiling” model in the Phase Interaction –Mass dialog box disappeared, instead by the “population balance” model. There is no vapor generated in the calculation domain with population balance model even if the wall temperature is much higher than saturated temperature. It seems like the RPI wall boiling was not successfully coupled with population balance model. Does there anyone know how to couple these two models in fluent? Appreciate for your help. Tenglong |

Sir,
I am trying for subcooled flow boiling in vertical annulsu channel with RPI model and discrete population balance model. I am using Fluent 2021 R1 and in this with enabling wall boiling, the population balance model is inactive. Are you able to couple the wall boiling and population balance in Fluent. Thanks and regards, Sachin |
