Hello Fluent users,

I am trying to patch the half volume of a 3d region....

I use the following strategy (as per tutorials)

1. Adapt-->Region-->Mark
2. Solution Initialization-->Initialize
3. Patch

I check the marked region and it is good, but when I plot a contour with the Volume fraction I see that all the volume has been patched with the value specified for the secondary phase (VOF model by the way)....

Have you had similar problem...

Best regards...

There are two options are available on patch window. First one is FLUID and another one is 'WHAT YOU HAVE PATCHED'. So select only one of them. Check your co-ordinates etc in ADAPT window.
Hope this will solve your problem.
