Dear CFD online consultant
i am pursuing M.tech (thermo fluid), currently i work on "Convective drying of iron ore pellet" by numerical method using ANSYS Fluent. the whole process is performed in two steps: 1) in this step iron ore is treated as solid particle and the hot air is passed over it around Re=3400 and heat transfer coeffcient(h) is calculated. 2) from above step, h is used as boundary condition for the drying process, and ore is treated as three phases(solid, liquid, gas) with some porosity and volume fraction of liquid and gas, for determine the drying rate, variation of moisture and temperature inside pellet actually sir, i have done upto step1, but i am unaware how fluent performs the drying simulation. "Simulation of convective drying of a cylindrical iron ore pellet" Author Anna-Lena Ljung and T. Staffan Lundstro¨Division of Fluid Mechanics, Lulea° University of Technology,Lulea° , Sweden, andKent Tano LKAB R&D, Malmberget, Sweden i have use the above mentioned paper for the validation process,it might be helpful to you for understand the actual problem that i want to discuss with you please sir, help me as soon as possible have a nice day.
