Hi,

I would like to model a water tank, half of the tank is fill up of water the rest with air. I made two zones (one for the air the other one for the water) but I don't know how to say to fluent zone1 is for water and the other for air.
If someone could help me please, I will be glad

you can use cell zone conditions to specify this

I think two steps are needed for you to specify the air zone and water zone:
1. Adapt->region to mark a zone for water(or air )
2. solution->initiallization->initiallize,and then patch the zone with water phase.
and you already got two phases in your system.

Suggestions are correct, but mixture model could be not good for your simulation.
Mixture model is used when secondary phase is maximum 10% mixed with the primary phase. Vof model should fit your needs.

Also no need to adapt...if you have created separate zones then while patching select water zone and set vf as 1(you should set your primary phase as air) and for air zone set vf as 0
