Hello,

I'm fresh user of Flow 3D and i have a problem...
I have permament mould for HPDC.. The mould have a cooling canals going through it. So how to model die casting and the effect of heat transfer (chilling of the cast) to that chilling fluid..
Do i have to model a CAD fluid or do something with boundary condition... It's a little bit of chaotic description but maybe Someone had problem like that...

Peace!!

It is hard to answer this question in the short space provided by the forum. There are several examples that come with the standard installation, providing typical setups for mold filling and heat transfer. Some include the cooling channel setup as well (MOLDTHRM and STL). These are good starting points. The manual is your next reference (Model Reference section) and then, of course, the technical support.

Have you had a formal FLOW-3D training?
