Hello friends

I am using flow 3d 9.3.2 to simulate wave transportation under floating breakwater

i need to plot the free surface

but as you know the surface height is variable with time in wave problem so i need to plot only the crest hights (maximum values) and the trough values (minimum values) at specific point

how could i do this

What you could do is, first, request the hydraulic data output, which includes the free surface height, then place a probe at the location where you'd like to record the free surface elevation. The x and y location of that point are important, z is not and can be anywhere within the mesh. The result will be the free surface elevation as a function of time (in the general history data output). You can then extract the highest and lowest elevations from that data series.

seem like it is not a straight forward way. so any improvement on this for v9.5 to ensure it is easy for user?

no, not really. Do you have a suggestion on how to generalize or automate it?
