flow of oil

Hi all!
I would like ask You about simulation - flow of oil through the filter in FLOW3D. Can we simulate it? How Can I describe material properties for filter? This is some kine of fibrous material. Regards north |

this is doable by using Porous Medium option to simulate the flow resistance through filer. With porous medium option you need to calculate both drag coefficient a & b based on your filter pore size. hope this help. |

thank you for the reply! please look on the screens... http://picasaweb.google.pl/north.no/Filtr# What kind of value (for ADRG and BDRG) should I use to simulate filter? You wrote that it depends from the pore size. But this pores are really small. thanks in advance north |
