for core casting simulation, is it possible to view the core in flowvu? core hase been defined as a separate obstacle, in stl format.

you can load the .stl in the flowvu window. Can it be enaugh?

unfortunately I can not view stl files within the file menu (stl viewer) as you said. it appears and suddenly disappears. I have been installed F3D several time but it couldn't be useful.

you should think to upgrade to a newer version then. FLOW-3D has introduced version by version new features regarding the .stl importing: since 9.1 (or maybe earlier) you have an .stl loader, and in 9.3 you have an automatic .stl loader that it is great!
