bthneroglu is on a distinguished road
Hello,

I am a master degree student at the university. My thesis topic is “Investigation of Scour Geometry and Amount of Removed Sediment Caused by Pressure Washing of Reservoirs”. There are experiments I have done in the laboratory on this subject. You can see the experimental setup in the photo I attached. My advisor told me to solve this issue in Flow3D HYDRO as well. I created a model like the attached prepin file.
The characteristics of the experimental setup are as follows;
• Flow rate 9lt/sec
• Pipe inner diameter (D= 0.026295m)
• Pipe outer diameter (D’=0.03m)
• The pipe has penetrated into the sediment by half the pipe diameter (l/D=0.5)
• The axis of the pipe is 2.5 times the inner diameter of the pipe above the base (c/D=2.5)
• Sediment grain diameter 0.00125m
This is how I set up the model. But I can't get solution. Can someone who knows the subject help?

Thanks.
