Hi,

I'm studying a flow which collapses on the slope as a result of an upstream dam-break, and I'm trying to find the distance travelled by the flow (i.e. 'shoreline position' or the 'surface run-up') but I can find no option for this in the 'general history' section of the 'probe' under the 'Analyze' tab.

The closest thing I can see is 'average distance travelled by fluid', but this is not what I'm looking for because it's an average. I'm looking for the shoreline position over time: it should produce a graph that rises and then falls.

Thanks.

There is an option of distance travelled by fluid in 'Additional Output' for such purpose. Otherwise you can always use 'Distance Measuring Tool' in Flow Sight to approximately estimate a distance between to sections.
