How to show the distance travelled by the fluid?

Hi,
I'm studying a flow which collapses on the slope as a result of an upstream dam-break, and I'm trying to find the distance travelled by the flow (i.e. 'shoreline position' or the 'surface run-up') but I can find no option for this in the 'general history' section of the 'probe' under the 'Analyze' tab. The closest thing I can see is 'average distance travelled by fluid', but this is not what I'm looking for because it's an average. I'm looking for the shoreline position over time: it should produce a graph that rises and then falls. Thanks. |

There is an option of distance travelled by fluid in 'Additional Output' for such purpose. Otherwise you can always use 'Distance Measuring Tool' in Flow Sight to approximately estimate a distance between to sections.
