Hi Forum,
I am currently trying to implement a non-uniform roughness into one of my simulations through the raster/ ascii import method. I am creating this file on python rather than eg. ArcGIS or CAD. Importing the acsii file into F3D seems to work fine, as the layer appears within the GUI, however the roughness values are not being picked up by the model when running the simulation. As a test case, I am simulating flow in a channel where the channel bottom is created using a primitive. When trying to assign the roughness file to this component, the 'Roughness height raster' that needs to be ticked remains greyed out and I am not able to select it, does anyone have any advice on where I may be going wrong? Does the vertical position of the roughness layer matter? I have attached my acsii and legend files below for reference (in text format), any help would be greatly appreciated Kind regards |
