Hello everyone,
When I use the sediment scour model to do some simulation of a 3D pile, I found it was very very slowly although I use 16 processors, 32 processors, even 64 processors. Maybe I generated too many meshes about 4 millions to 7 millions, because I found that the mesh size play a very important role in scour results. Now what I know is my cases run fastest with 24 processors, however it can only simulate 0.23 s in 1 hour reality. It confused me for a long time, so if there are any solutions, please tell me, thank you very much. |

Hello, I am a graduate student from Zhejiang University of Technology. I have the same problem as you. My flow-3D water and sediment two-phase simulation calculation is very slow, but the computer configuration is good, so I would like to ask if you have a solution.I would be most grateful if you could give me some advice. You can contact me at the following email address:taoli@zjut.edu.cn

Hello.
Sedimentation models are very slow. but did you check sediment diameter to cell size ratio? your cell size should be more than 10 times bigger than the sediment diameter. choosing too fine mesh can cause extra long computation times. |
