Hello everyone,
I am using flow 3d in order to calculate the drag force exerted on a pier. In order to do that I load an stl file with the pier and then I click on subcomponents -> component properties ->output -> pressure and shear force output. When I try to calculate drag force from the momentum balance equation I get a different result from the one I get from Flow3d. Does anyone know what is the pressure force output and how it is calculated on Flow3d? Note that for the run i use pressure -> hydrostatic pressure in z direction |
